Ted Nugent’s Wild Anti-Obama Rant

You don’t earn the nickname “Motor City Madman” by biting your tongue, but some people say Ted Nugent’s latest rant, which occurred over the weekend at the NRA Annual Meetings, may have gone too far. It is certainly a little shocking, even for The Nuge, particularly these gems:

“Our government is wiping its a– with the Constitution.”

“We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everybody here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense? That sounds like a stoned hippie. That doesn’t sound like a Supreme Court anything.”

“If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

        Trying to get people to show up at the polls in November is something more people should do.
        My time in the service wasn’t just for the rights of some people. I may not agree with avoiding the draft but I refuse to see the rights designated in the constitution rationed out to people based on the views.
        Even liberals have the right to say stupid things.

I don’t know how you can agree with him when he is actually threatening our president. I can remember when something like that brought the Secret Service down to talk to that person. I can also remember when the people of our great nation backed the president whether Democrat or Republican and now the only thing the Republicans can think about is Mr Obama is a one term president and the Republicans have vowed ever since Mr Obama was first elected to not pass any legislation that Mr Obama proposed so he hasn’t been able to get much accomplished since 2010. You seem to put the blame on Mr Obama for our economy but need to look at the republican House. BTW what legislation has Mr Obama proposed that would affect gun laws??? NONE. Wake up IDIOTS.

    Absolutely he went too far. But, when taken in context with some of his previous rants, this is nothing really shocking. The “Motor City Madman” seems to be intent in living up to his nickname! The NRA radicals may listen to this kind of stupidity, but those with any sense of reason will realize this is nothing more than a burned out rocker trying to keep his name in the headlines. hope the Secret Service jumps all over him just as they do with anyone who threatens the life of the President. Nuge deserves nothing less!

But… he pretty much hits the nail on the head with all the corruption within our government, how our country has become and how Americans are starting to loose their rights.     Since he’s not a politician he doesn’t have to mince words and say what everyone wants to hear. He can speak the truth, and that’s what he was doing. He does get a little close to condoning violence which would go against our beliefs as Christians. But he’s correct in saying we need to change the leadership of this country. We have to keep the mindset that we’re able to save this country politically without the use of violence against our leaders. I didn’t vote for Obama but I pray for his and his families safety every night.

    I didn’t see anything wrong and a lot of right in Ted’s comments. Since the 1960′s our government has made a concerted effort to destroy our way of life. Now our government promotes: supporting people who have never worked, or have any intention of working, through “entitlements” (how any one is “entitled,” I have no idea); stifling entrepreneurship through taxation of success; support of a “world” government by supporting UN initiatives, e.g., Small Arms Treaty; poor business practice and judgment by bailing out and rewarding the stupid; etc. I say “right-on” Ted.

    “I will be dead or in jail” He believes (as do I) that they will come with extreme violence to take our guns! As they did in New Orleans! (How soon we forget…)
    The second ammendment says “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”
    Therefore, any “law” that restricts firearms ownership or carrying is UNCONSTITUNAL!
    The right to defend ourselves is a basic human right, not a privilege! Privilages (like driving) can be restricted but not rights.
    If they take our guns they take our ability to say NO! Soon to be followed by there “One world Dictatorship” and the extermination of anyone they don’t like! Remember Hitler??? Don’t let history repet itself!!!

    I am a life long sportsman,gun lover, and a former Marine and Viet Nam Veteran. What I have a problem with is all these fishing and hunting organizations and the NRA putting an admited draft doger like Ted Nugent in such high reguard. Old Uncle Ted stated at the NRA convention “We are brave heart. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November”.
    I doubt Nugent has ever experanced a real battlefield. I am 62 and Nugent is about the same age. Where was Nugent during the Viet Nam War? Did rock stars get draft deferments?

    Do you really think one man can fix the mess we have in Washington? Get real.Obama can’t fix the economy without help. Mitt Romney? He doesn’t have any control in Washington either.We need to clean house and Senate at the state voter level .Get those career political people out and try to put in some people with common sense.     I agreed with Mr. Nugent until I saw his last words. Don’t know what he meant by dead or in jail, but I don’t think he meant harm to the president.

    He could have meant dead after being unable to defend himself.Or dead for defending himself, then police shoot him for owning a gun–after guns were banned! But not sure. Very odd, not bad that secret service checked him out.

    Sometimes we say things we don’t mean or often our words are taken out of context. Just today I was talking to a friend and I thought I understood something she was saying …lol but I misunderstood her. It turned out she was talking about something different but had not found the proper words.

    I want good for President Obama and for our country! It’s not about dem or rep it’s about doing good for our people. I wish people could understand that.

    I have not figured out exactly what Ted said that was so bad? Misunderstood? maybe. taken out of context? Probably. I was more surprised to see the “rants” people took attacking him in this forum.
    There are 4 supreme court justices that want nothing more to destroy the 2nd Amendment and have said as much in their previous documents and decisions. So I see no rant in that.

    Then his “dead or in jail” comment. How do you read that and take it as a threat on obama? Was Mr. Heston’s statement about taking his guns from his “cold dead hands” a threat? They both meant about the same thing. Ted was simply saying that he feels that if obama was re-elected he would attack the 2nd amendment even more and try to take our guns. And Ted was not going to give them up willingly.

    How about if it was the 1st amendment being discussed. How many people would end up in jail if you could no longer speak freely? hint: look at places like china, iran, north korea and see how many “political prisoners” there are.

    obama and his cronies want nothing more than to disarm the public. When people are armed they are citizens. When they are disarmed they are subjects. I intend to remain a citizen just as Ted Nugent is.
